Aberdeen Royal Golf Club

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, was founded in 1780 as the Society of Golfers at Aberdeen and became the Aberdeen Golf Club in 1815. Until 1888 members played on the Queen’s Links close to the city before moving across the River Don to the links at Balgownie. The Course was originally designed by the Simpson Brothers, Archie and Robert of Carnoustie and later re-bunkered and lengthened by James Braid to ensure our classic links kept pace with the modern game.

Ballater Golf Club

This course was founded in 1892 and originated as a nine hole course on land owned by the laird of Invercauld. Now Ballater offers eighteen holes with the toughest test to par on its opening six holes but you can’t complain too much as the fresh Highland air and views of Lochnagar will make it all worthwhile.

Braemar Golf Club

The highest course in Scotland at around 1,200 feet above sea level, it offers a short but challenging course at 4,935 off the medal tees. The club was founded in March 1902 and developed in 1903 at croft Muickan as a nine hole, later in 1910 the lease of Cavan’s Park allowed for an extension to eighteen hole capability.

Aboyne Golf Club

Described as having a rich variety of memorable holes, making the most of the natural variations in the terrain which is a mix of rolling parkland with inviting fairways and elevated hearthland. Golf was being played in Aboyne in 1874 but it wasn’t until 1883 that the club was founded.

Lumphanan Golf Club

Nine holes of high quality green set amidst the incredible scenery of Royal Deeside. This course is considered challenging to your straight hitting and short game. Established in 1924 Lumphanan golf club has journeyed through highs and lows of membership and even befell a period of disbandment in 1967. Thankfully through the hard work of a few local champions the course was reopened in 1994.

Inchmarlo Golf Resort

The course is called the Queen’s course and offers visitors and members all year round nine holes of golf with a view of Scolty Hill. You can improve your game here through the newly-refurbished driving range or book in for lessons with an expert.

Torphins Golf Club

Established in 1896 and has since undergone many changes in the last 100 years, the nine holes is a short course of par 64 that requires accuracy. The course offers 13 different tees playing to 10 different greens.

Set above the bonnie banks of the Royal River, River Dee, is a par 69 eighteen holes offering a challenging course to all standards. The clubhouse boasts beautiful views over the fairway and  is a popular venue for relaxation and dining.

Renowned for the rich variety of wildlife living alongside the edge of the greens, the nine hole parkland represents a challenge to golfers for all abilities. The course was designed by Tom Morris in 1908, spans 5900 yards and offers a tranquil setting to perfect your swing.

Known as an easy-walking level terrain set against wooded parkland and incredible views of the neighbouring hills. The course was opened as a nine hole course in 1982 and extended to eighteen in 1992.
