Coronation Weekend -Special Royal Celebrations in Royal Deeside
Royal Deeside, located in the Cairngorms National Park, is a region rich in history and natural beauty. It has long been a favourite retreat of the British Royal family, who have owned Balmoral Castle and Estate in the area for generations. The region is known for its stunning landscapes, including the River Dee, which flows through the heart of Royal Deeside, and the imposing peaks of the majestic Cairngorm Mountains.
This week and the weekend sees the UK Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla, on 6 May 2023, so its no surprise that Royal Deeside is celebrating in style!

- Friday 5th May at the Old Royal Station ‘Coronation at the Station Concert’ with local music and artists,
- Sunday 7th May ‘Coronation Big Lunch’ celebration between 1pm and 6pm (bring your own food picnic on the Church Green)
